Me thinks someone is bitter they didn't get invited to a nicer party...

(I'm assuming this is talking about the launch festivities, as opposed to the launch supply of cards )

Re: Beans - AMD set to struggle to meet demand for ATI Radeon HD 5800 series

Why is it every time someone says:

"We've got so much demand we can't meet it"

    I instead hear:

    "Our yields suck"

    ?

Re: Beans - AMD set to struggle to meet demand for ATI Radeon HD 5800 series

Given the global nature of news i don't think it matters too much how you split your budget on your marketing events, most of the articles i've read about the multi displays have been much of a sameness.

If they're launching a month before windows 7 then surely "a couple of weeks" is fine to fulfill AIB partners orders? OEM system builders surely need a bit of a head start to get their system images built for production and all that.

Or maybe i'm just missing the way this all works

I want a 5800 card but i think i'll hold out for Sapphire to get a Vapor-X version out, my 3870s make far too much noise even if they are nice a cool...

Yup, next summer for either a 5890 VaporX CF, or 5870x2.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.
