Heh. YouTube blocked at work....
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
I am truly impressed by microsoft. Instead of a "beat Apple with a stick" mentality they just leave apple and their petty rubbish alone in the corner and consequently produce brilliant adds shown in the article.
It really is a shining example of how adverts should be made. These remind me of the brilliance of BMW, Audi and VW adds. When there is so much you want to say about your own products there is no need to ever mention anything else.
Its no wonder Microsoft are getting such an uplift in reputation thanks to Windows 7, they have completely changed their paradigm and as such have changed the way we view the company and its products.
I'm gonna have to have a look see at these ads, be interesting to see more about 7, have only read stuff prior to now.
Gotta admit that i agree with the above opinions on MS's ads, they tend towards the slick side of advertising using clever ideas and taglines instead of comparisons against competitors and the like.
The one with Kylie is just dynamite.
See System Specs.
Lets just hope they don't let OEM's ruin things by pre loading their kit with enough crapware to slow any system to a crawl.
Maybe they only get preferential pricing if their builds pass some kind of MS certification?
"In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penises, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship."
Wow, makes a refreshing change for some none crumby adverts for once...
