The question is, will it need an MSI bios flashed to a non-MSI card or just a plain hack to the app before it works on non-MSI cards?

The program is working with my Powercolor 5870. Kudos to MSI for not employing a vendor lock-in. Who knows maybe my next card will be an MSI one.
