Re: Headlines - akasa launches Infiniti and Infiniti Zor chassis

After the Zen case I think I'd be loathed to use Akasa products ever again, that case really was like a tin can. My experience of Antec cases (even their budget ones) has always been much better than Akasa. The design just looks a bit...boring, run-of-the-mill. There just doesn't appear to be much effort put into it's design really, pretty much what I expect from Akasa...

The Zen case costs like 25quid what do you expect? For that price you get an ok looking spacious case and two quiet fans, you cant expect to get loads when you pay nothing.
Antec are slightly better but they are also slightly more expensive.

The higher end akasa cases are seriously well built! Agreed their looks are substandard but they have a certain minimalist style to them.

How many manufacturers are going to rip off the Stacker design? Sure it is versatile but it is hardly a panacea.

Hello CPTWhite - I am sorry that the chassis did not meet your expectations , the Zen key features are about strong thermal & ascoutic performance whilst meeting a price point and a reasonable ID.
However it is a popular chassis .

Hi Desean - Panaceca sure we do like some of the feature set of the Stacker , so we have incorporate some of this into our design but with support for EATX mobo (Intel Extreme),watercooling and direct HDD pack bay cooling for features and strong airflow via front to back & totally vented front bezel and a strong rigid steel carcase.
for a Suggested retail price of AK BKINF 01 -INFINITI 75.95£+VAT or AK BKINF 02 -INFINITI ZOR 82.95£+VAT . Which is an a key improvement for these credit crunch days .

Hi Biscuit we are looking into 2.5" form factor support cages & frames but even the high end chassis do not have direct support for SSD and they are really great for game reloading (read only operation) and quite poor at been used for OS system which is a serve limitation sorry to say.

Hi PeterStoba Yes the blue glow is generated a number of blue 120mm led fans consigned into the box.
further optional x2 120mm fans can be used in the top cover to support water cooling .

Also the Zor has a window side panel as standard , where as the Infinti support x2 120mm fan for GPU cooling .

Hello, can you tell me please when AKASA will be ready to build and sell cases with the PSU at the bottom of the case ? the best cases now are build with the PSU at the bottom to have more free area at the top of the roof to install just ( 120/140/180/200mm) exahust fans All the new cases made by : Hiper,Antec, Lian Li, Coolermaster , Thermaltake, Silverstone Zalman etc etc have the PSU at the bottom ( must be a good reason for this tendency )

    Hi Tonschk
We have something similar in the R&D pipe line , but it is never that simple , we have to get the the worst case thermals & acoustics then the manufacture quality just right to match the targeted price point ,then we have an Akasa product. So at some stage next year being honest with you but it will be worth the wait.Regards Howard
