    News - NVIDIA rolls out ForceWare 195.55 beta drivers

    Latest release adds support for GPU acceleration for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and support for the new GeForce GT 240.

    No sign of changes for CUDA when an ATI card is the primary adapter then.....

    what about GPU acceleration for Adobe Flash on netbooks and nettops?
    these little things can sometimes really struggle with even the lowest quality on the iPlayer and i'm pretty sure the GPU could do a better job than the pitiful little Atom inside it.
    or would it not even be possible cos they have piddly little GPUs as well?

    Just installed these drivers and Flash 10.1 Beta... is there anyway to test that the GPU is actually being used for Flash processing?

    i played a HD video from the iPlayer and the CPU usage was around 10% for that, then i installed these new drivers and the new flash and it's now down to about 2 or 3% so it definitely made a difference for me.
    i can see this being useful on laptops and stuff

    Hmm, I didn't have the foresight to take readings before installing the new drivers

    But Youtube HD videos use 25-30% CPU (stock E8600), which still seems pretty high to me...
