    You obviously weren't paying attention! It fades in the extra menu options up the top, and the copyright information etc down the bottom. Back to basics so to speak.

    Null issue for me since I use iGoogle.

    No fade-in using Chrome, the links are there throughout. I had to start up IE just to see...

    I've had this for quite a while now... I didn't and still don't really get the point of it. Are there any actual advantages over the previous design, other than looking weird as things fade into your peripheral vision?

    what's the point of it? it still loads the entire page... it just hides it until you move the mouse...

    P.S. who doesn't move the mouse??

    Makes it look 'cleaner'. And, me at least until the results load. I'm sure there was a keyboard shortcut for loading up the first few links, but I can never remember what it is..
