    Looks just like a bit of PR hype to me, but if they're genuinely having success nailing counterfeiters, then I wish them a very successful campaign. The more they take out, the better as far as I'm concerned.

    I would agree with the reporting bit, massive thread over at AVF regarding one site in particular. Everyone has been encouraged to contact Microsoft and Microsoft have repsonded well and replaced pirated copies with legit ones. Google & PayPal don't want to know however, infact Google are still linking to them in their sponsored ads

    Perhaps. Certainly I'd think so against casual end-user "piracy", but counterfeiting is a different kettle of fish, and one I have no sympathy for at all. I have no idea how effective measures have been but the more offenders they nail, the better IMHO.
