Non-story. How on earth are they going to do that ? Remins me of the failed porn filters which were supposed to block images on the basis of skin being detected in the image.
The hilarious results made the companies a laughing stock.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

Re: News - LG joins battle against sexting

Boys were found to be more likely to see and pass on naked pictures or videos they had been sent without consent, with many putting the reason down to "boredom".
I would like to point out that this has NOTHING to do with me.....

Well if nothing else, I suppose a bit of heightened awareness through the media is a good thing.

Teens like sex?????!!!!!!!??????? This is terrible!

The phone companies should turn these kids into the authorities. the police should arrest all the teens who take pics of themselves and put them on the sexual offenders list. may they be labeled criminals and violent sexual predators for the rest of their lives, never become gainfully employed, never be valued members of society.

    That will teach them.

Teens shouldn't even have cell phones to begin with.

Re: News - LG joins battle against sexting

I agree with 12GaugeShotty. I got my first cell phone at age 17, it didn't have a camera, or internet connectivity, it was just a Nokia brick for texting my mum to come and pick me up from the bus stop! And I don't think my childhood suffered much from going cell-less...

Boo, you don't know what you're saying.

I couldn't live without my mobile, it's became an invaluable item which I never leave home without. It's helped me out so much in situations I would otherwise be lost in. To name a few, going to work when the bus breaks down and I can just phone work to say I will be 10 minutes late, without my mobile I couldn't do that and would probably just get my pay docked. Needing to get somewhere in a hurry and I can just phone a taxi on my mobile, otherwise I would have to try and find a payphone or something. Forgot what homework I had for maths? Just text someone who's in my class. Do I really need to go on?

I hate when people try and argue that teenagers shouldn't be allowed mobile phones. Just because you went through your teens without a mobile doesn't mean that having one would have done you any harm. If anything it would have only made your life easier. I don't understand why parents wouldn't want their children to have a mobile when they reach high school. I'm sure I'd definitely feel my children were safer and worry less if I could contact them any time and any place.

As for the topic at hand, if people weren't such idiots then they wouldn't have to worry about naked pictures of themselves getting sent around. If you aren't a total whore, I can't see any reason why a girl would take a naked picture of themselves and send it to someone they don't 100% trust in the first place. If they are just taking these pictures and sending them to anyone who takes interest in them, then they deserve everything they get really.

And sexting? Really? I hardly think "u r so sexi bbe" would constitute as sex in any form.

Erm, no. But sending a picture of a naked 15 year old is distributing paedophilic material.
