More to the point, what speed's it/they clocked at, and when can I run folding@home on it
I am wondering if these are essentially cut-down cores or whether the individual cores themselves are only a very small percentage of the overall transistor count......because 48 cores sounds like a lot of silicon wafer real estate.

Real estate isn't really the issue with silicon, provided you're not going crazy with the clock speed and power usage. Having small, verifiable cells that you can replicate out across a piece of silicon is the way to get a big-ass chip.

Is that with the assumption Intel's Larrabee will be on the 32/22nm chips at some point, oh wait...

Nah I think he means saving all the frames to disc, printing them and then binding them all into a flip book.
