They're also signed on Simon Cowell's label aren't they? So more money to him either way

Same record giant (that being sony) that Simon's record label is housed under but not the same label Last time I checked Simon didn't own Sony, can't be far off but still not quite there xD

It's not about the money and which label it goes to, it's about the music. That's the whole point.

Re: News - We didn?t do what they told us

Some people can't be convinced. It's more competitive to run the campaign down.
It's all going to SC, You're all lame etc are not arguments. They're competitive statements.
It was good fun, and a message was sent to the labels that people will buy their music, but much less of the pre-masticated crap.
For a full explanation I refer you to GreyM@ta and the Hairmetal bloke's posts. far more eloquent than mine.

EDIT: Found it - Knoxville. Sorry mate.

This is the only downside, they will have to play the edited version for the majority of the day

Re: News - We didn?t do what they told us

I purchased a few copies to help it along, I think before all we could do was not buy the crap xfactor churns out but this year we actually had a chance to say no to it.

I hope this means xfactor won't try again next year.

Of course the X-Factor will try next year and the year after and the year after ....

Cowell was probably rubbing his hands thinking of the extra money coming in to him as this "campaign" probably boosted "his" sales by quite a fair amount.

No what? Ignore the Sony link and I am sure Cowell has still done well as the competition has had acres of 'press' over the last week and as they say in advertising there is no such thing as bad press. I know my step sisters (twins of 11) have gone out and bought half a dozen copies each of that xfactor song... because they wanted it to beat.... errr their christmas present off me

Re: News - We didn?t do what they told us

most people just remember the last 5mins and what they have just read in a news paper or seen on tv and so are like sheep and just do what they are told.... even when they think they are doing what they want!
always going to be the same
nice to stick it to a big corp and show people can make a difference but we need to club together and sheep follow a different leader lol
