The Boxee Box does look promising but TBH I think I would still prefer a HTPC.
a small ion box will play xbmc easily, and boxee is just a fork off xbmc with some more components (mainly to allow adverts and sales of specific hardware).
do you get the 'missing' corner of the boxee to stick underneath the table so it looks like to boxee has sunk through. would be especially funny for glas tables.
