I think its just as important as Gas and 'leccy now...
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

No, I'm probably not being clear enough. Cyber crime is real and ever present danger.

Simply putting the infrastructure in place for having fast access to the internet isn't going to make Britain a great trading environment again. I believe that more work needs to be done in EDUCATING people in the use of computers, and safe surfing.

All that putting a faster connection in place will do is mean that pirated software, virii, torrents etc will spread quicker.

Elsewhere there's the concept of OLPC.... Why not extend this logic to schools and then get EVERYONE to a level starting point.

Well my comments were meant to be taking as satire but... Torrents are bad ? Besides this, the 'Digital Age' needs more and more bandwidth to fully-function.

Re: News - Conservatives promise "super-fast broadband" by 2017

Man there is so much crap in this thread I don't know where to begin...

The policy is probably a good start. I would imagine the Conservatives realise that the internet could prop up our economy enough to make the ****-storm on the horizon more comfortable. I'd imagine they view it as a solution to our problems, a surface solution at best. As long as money controls everything we do, we are stuck.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

"Where will the money come from?" is possibly the most ridiculous question to ask. All money is created out of debt so thin air is the simple answer. Money has little bearing on the possibility of our resources. It takes months to build a house (some designs even less time) yet it takes a lifetime to pay for it... how is that helpful? We could build homes for everyone in the world with our technology and resources but money is blocking our path. It divides us and everything we do. "An imbalance between rich and poor is the oldest and most fatal ailment of all republics." - Plutarch.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

I doubt this policy will be dropped... Our broadband infrastructure is possibly the next most important thing after our Food, Water and Power supplies.

Without broadband all the above things would be far more difficult to manage.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Not fond of nationalism myself. Mainly because everything the current government is based on is corrupt and there to serve greed and power rather than help the people of a nation. It's unfortunate that greed and corruption have turned out to be beneficial in our economy.

Remove the root of this greed(money and influence) and you have my ears. But this governmental system is not possible to patch up unless you start from scratch, it's corrupt by design/default not as a result of some external source.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't vote but I'd rather this nation not waste it's time with politics and focus on addressing our problems intelligently.

Everything else is a waste of time and effort.
