But no native 2.5" SSD support?
Re: News - Lian Li PC-A77F full-tower chassis arrives with USB 3.0 support
Price is a bit extreme for me at least, but after using my first Lian-Li that I got for free off my uncle i don't think I'll ever use a non-aluminium case again, maybe not a non Lian-Li one. The build quality of these is something to be admired not to mention the ease of use building your machine in them.
Just get an armour suit and a pci-e USB3 card

I guess there's 2 ways of looking at that. The first way is that at £300ish, anyone needing 2.5" support can clearly afford an adaptor. The other way of looking at it is to say that anyone spending £300 on a case is highly likely to be sticking a 2.5" SSD in that box, and why the hell should they have to pay anything on top.
I know which way I look at it, but then I'm highly unlikely to spend £300 on a case :surprised::eek:
& did Hexus really have to mention the "patented power supply bracket, tool-less drive bays and PCI securing brackets all featuring as standard" twice? Are you guys on commission?

You could fit 40 SSDs into that case. I think the bigger problem would be providing bandwidth for them.

Finally a USB 3.0 case but we need more info on it. Have they finalized the USB 3.0 header configuration or are lian li just making it up as they go along?
You expect crazy prices from lian but this ain't funny anymore!

ah got you now. I would assume they just have all the individual pins so you can connect them up any way needed. To be honest I never thought about that part of it. perhaps there is a standard motherboard header though.
Re: News - Lian Li PC-A77F full-tower chassis arrives with USB 3.0 support
does look a little different from the pc-a77b. No hard drive module at the back, and no 'smart' fan control unit. No option of having the power supply at the top, only the bottom...
yet they are charged a ****load of money for it. i got my pc-a77b for £150.
Re: News - Lian Li PC-A77F full-tower chassis arrives with USB 3.0 support
Sorry but Lian Li are really being rubbish with cases now. Don't care how well they are made - they keep throwing out the same old same old.
Where is a good full tower with top fan support - oh yeah, with Lian Li you have to buy the panel separately.
Why do not more of their cases come with optional windows... - oh yeah you have to buy it separate.
I would like Lian Li to throw out a case with top fans, side window, black interior and full size design.
OR
Lancool do it and cost half the price.
Aluminium is so over rated for a computer case.

They make good cases, but £300 is a bit tooooooo much.

This case does have top fans.
I have a Lian-Li case that was just over £100 and I am quite happy with it. However, £300 is too much.

On a similar note, do these motherboards with USB 3 ports actually have USB 3 headers?

no they only have hard wired ports. You get 2 per 1 NEC chip and they usually colour them blue. Intel won't have any USB 3 products this year and AMD is only going to release SATA 3 chipsets this year. Until 2011 perhaps, USB 3.0 will only come in a NEC form
