£200 is too much, isn't it? People were predicting the £160-180 price range, and I think that would've tempted me away from my 4870 1GB. But at £200, I think I'll stick with it.
However given it's 'cut down' nature, but from full predigree heritage, could this potentially be a card that can be unlocked ala x800gt^2?
To close price to the 5850 to bother I would guess.
Arent the 5850's at around £200 already? and the 5870 is £260 .
Im confused as to how AMD would even deem this a useful addition? They pride themselves on the 5000 series being energy effcient and they should be they perform damn well but this card is cut down by a far amount and yet has higher load draw then the 5850 and close to the 5870 and yet its performance should be inbetween the 5850 and 5770 so surely that should of resorted in a reduced power draw, the performance/power effciency is through the roof with that if its the case..
I hope AMD reveal that this is a false slide , and that it will be £150 and has a lower power draw.
As everyone is saying, this needs to dip way below £200 to be of any relevance to the market.
This is a massive fail of a card. It should be priced at around £160 for the performance it gives.
Get a Hd 5770 or save up for a 5850!
I strongly suspect it might be - it certainly wouldn't be hard to set up, and some of the specs don't ring true compared with the rest of the range. That said, it's not unheard of for ATI to make mistakes on their own slides either But the fact that it has a lower pixel throughput that the 5770 has to be a sign that something's not quite right, surely?
The card looks very long:

the specs do look rather odd, here's hoping that it has a full 32 ROP's and 256bit memory controller.
