Huh? I'm just confused by this. Isn't Hexus supposed to be a technology news website?
If they want to branch in to politics then fine but only if they take a neutral stance. Is this going to be followed up with interviews of the opposition? I don't think Hexus should really take a politically bias stance.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a Ken Livingstone fan myself but I simply don't understand why Hexus has done this.
Nice to see something about Ken. I was gutted when Boris got in, but that's just a personal opinion I've formed of him.
Nice to see an interst article, albeit tenuously linked with technology....
Next time the interviewer should throw in a technology question to catch them off guard. It would keep everyone happy.
Eh if you run a politics show and Bill Gates offers you an interview. You're going to take it. Not that Ken is the Bill Gates of politics but you get my point. Nice catch for hexus imo, will watch later right now I can hear the F1 theme tune piping out of the telly in the other room so Kenny can wait
A "work experience" government? Labour were more than happy with that role in 1997
The interview with Ken was offered to us when we were covering a technology show... so as chuck says, if it's offered, we'll take it... and it's a good thing Scott did it as otherwise you'd have had 15 minutes of me ranting about congestion charges and mobile phone parking payments... before beating Ken with my latest fine notice.
Aaaaaand relax... woooo-saaaaahhhhhh.
you could have at least asked him some difficult questions.
Why he felt the need to be cosy with someone such as Hugo Chavez for example.......
(I freely admit I really hate this man, the money he squandered (oh yes, the mayor needs a paper, because free press is a bad thing) and his attempts at social engineering, whilst been an antisemite)

Personally I was pleased when Ken first got in over a period of time (and voted for him) I felt he behaved like he had a divine right to be Major of Greater London. I felt he had to go, nope Boris wasn't who I would have picked, though I did like his no bendy bus policy... Why do those things still clutter the street? However he had the great attribute of not being Ken, and so got my vote, however I cannot say if he will again.

Oh I completely concur, mabye its the fact I would have just spent my 5 mins spitting at the obnoctious little **** bag (my personal favourate was him writing for the London Paper or something about how Boris was putting up TFL fairs in his first month of office.... He put up the fair less than kenny did, and the reason for the gaping hole was kens fault..... I REALLY despise him).
But the questions as to why we don't have city wide wifi for the public (the cloud didn't really take off), no mobile phone/data coverage on the underground. Plenty of geeky questions

Guys, all fair points (except the stuff about us becoming political, trust me, we're not), but please bear in mind that we don't often get the opportunity to talks to figures outside of technology, so of course we're not going to get it perfect. We learn by doing...
Stay tuned as I interview Gail Porter about her nipples. (no, I'm not kidding...)
