    Nor will any human being who has even the vaguest understanding of technology, another profitable triumph for apple no doubt, ripping off many people with more money than sense. Who will no doubt be very happy with their shiny apple branded thing. Simply because that thing says Apple.

    Those prices are mental. I'm not entirely unconvinced that I wouldn't like one (although I'm definitely more excited by the potential of the MS Courier, if it ever ships in a form anything like the videos), but if those really were the prices then not a chance.

    Where's the scam? Nobody's being sold anything under false pretences. Apple is offering a product and people, for whatever reason, are interested in it at their price. It might be good marketing, but you can hardly call it a scam.

    Seriously, Apple are in the 'appliance' market, they're more or less white goods for the affluent. Still, i'm in the market for such a device, just not the one Apple's offering as it's too much of a compromise.
