Running with the heard!
The thing is every time I want to say they are over priced, they have something like 25k useless iPads sold in an hour, despite the fact no one knows what they can do, but plenty of people put the BOM well below the half the retail price.
Amazing.

Amazing.
I bet the A4 chip helped reduce the BOM, although I wonder how many units they'll need to shift to offset that against the cost of acquiring the semi company and developing it... probably 5, maybe 6 iPads.

Erm, you mean 5-6 million iPads ?
I find it amazing Apple are valued so highly (even I do actually own plenty of their products),
there are far fewer apple devices I see around than HP or dells.

I think it was /sarc due to the extortionate price they charge per 'Pad, thus only needing to sell 5 or 6.

It's not like they spent a lot on PA Semi either, about $280million apparently. I would say that makes it about 7-8 iPads though :P
