Love the picture: "USE /sbin/poweroff TO SHUTDOWN".
Erm, OK... /sbin/poweroff -pf oops.

Although i'm not disputing the report, i'm a little confused - you report that the intention is to use Android as its base (presumably with some sort of TV-friendly interface?), but that it will run on an Atom CPU. As you also state, Android is currently an ARM-based architecture.
Google currently has an x86-based OS of course - Chromium (or whatever it'll be called on full release), so surely they will be using that?
Aside from this however, i think it is very wise of them to be teaming up with Sony (who let's face have been making great hardware, but usually with very shonky software), and Logitech, who's devices provide a very good, and tried and tested interface.
One to watch i think.

Indeed, with this I thought Chromium thing was perfect.
With a broadcast TV type approach, a dumb terminal that gets everything it needs from the cloud, it just makes good sense.
