Personally I'd rather spend a little more and get the Humax HD-FOX T2 for £164.99 from Play.com which is already in stock.

Would be almost worth it TBH for ease of iPlayer- but the lack of a dish here would make it a bit silly. ;)
(don't have clear LOS to the satellite)

Got iPlayer on my cheapo Bush Freesat box today - works very nicely. :)

Not sure if you would be able to access the iPlayer anyway without any reception as it is accessed via the red button on BBC channels.

I heard that the Humax Fox will be able to record via USB, is this true? I don't want to record often so my trusty 16Gb pen drive would be enough and it would save me a lot of money compared to a full on PVR.

No, not out of the box.. whether they enable this in a future firmware update is up for grabs. And whether it'd do everything their PVR (due out in the next few months) will do is down to them.

For me, I'm keeping an eagle eye on the Freeview box from 3view.. looks really fancy.. nice integration with iPlayer (the EPG shows the last 7 days.. click on an old program an iPlayer loads it up!). Also has Opera web browser built in. More videos of it in action are out on YouTube; http://bit.ly/9UJZeu

Yeah but for that sort of functionality on a tv I find my ps3 works very well, it has a full web browser, support for all the on demand video websites, and playtv can be used for the epg, pvr and other regular tv functionality. Now if theyd just release a freeview hd playtv id be sorted...
