    Not sure what the offerings are like in the US, but this would stand no chance in the UK at those prices. HTC is on a roll and the HTC desire is constantly sold out in the UK. You can get the handset for free on tariffs from £25 per month, which include data, texts and voice.

    I think all phones are second to this, even the iphone.

    Everything I had previously read about these phones had led me to believe that they were aimed at those who couldn't afford a fancy smartphone (or wanted a cheap phone/plan to add on to the family plan for their children), at these prices I would guess that most people will opt for a Droid or its ilk,
