Interesting, over all I like it.
What I'd now like to see is the same thing but an matx sized case.

Interesting, I wish they would not have top buttons or at least have a flap top protect them (cat resistant).

The Silverstone Fortress FT02 is a similar size and has a flap over the top buttons.

Re: News - Lian Li launches sound-proofed PC-B25S chassis

New 2010 Lian Li cases are available on pre order as overclockers.co.uk but the prices are very high, I think Lian Li are now charging too much for their cases. Their standard full size tower is now £230, this is nearly £100 up from 18 months ago.

I have a Lian Li full tower and will be selling it soon for a smaller tower, but it won't be a Lian Li case thats so sure. Quality is good, but you can get the same quality for alot less now. Think Lian Li shoudl pump more into Lancool and the steel cases.

The prices usually come down after the initial 1-3 months depending on who - if anyone - else is stocking the cases. I'd agree it's easier to get higher quality cases in general these days but for me Lian Li still have the edge on build quality compared to other cases I've used (e.g. Silverstone - though admittedly I haven't seen their higher end stuff like the Fortress in the flesh).

I really dont see the point in a soundproofed case as surely it is down to the components inside. If chosen correctly you wouldnt need to spend a lot of money on this type of case?

It depends on how sensitive you are to the noise in the first place - I've found that as I've tried to make my PC quieter I've started to notice things I couldn't hear before (e.g. hard drives being drowned out by fans) and I've started to hear coil whine / buzzes and clicks from the PSU in my HTPC (a mini ITX case that came with its own DC/DC converter board and external AC/DC brick - so I'm replacing it with a pico PSU in the hope that it and the AC/DC brick I've bought to go with it will do a better job than the PSU that came with the case).

Aluminium also vibrates / resonates a lot more easily than steel so there's probably more need here than there would be for the average steel case (cheap and nasty cases made of out foil thickness steel probably suffer from the same issue).
