Good news for the 3d community.
Am I the only one who doesn't really get 3d. Sure it was pretty in Avatar but not pretty enough for me to spend £££ on upgrading my TV, Computer, monitor etc just to see it. Personally I really hope this isn't going to happen and this is just a fad. Roll on 3d when we don't need stupid glasses!
I already wear a pair of glasses, why on this green earth would i wear another pair over these? really doesn't intrest me in any way unless they can bundle it in the TV itself.
I'm one of those that don't really care much about 3D, mostly as it just leaves me with a headache (due mostly to a eye defect). I think I'll save my money and put it into something more worthwhile somehow.
My 42" plasma TV will last me a while yet I'm expecting, so hopefully a while before needing to upgrade.
correct me if I'm wrong but afaik the thing with autostereoscopy is that it has rubbish viwing angles, so it would be useless in the living room, perhaps you could get away with it on small devices like mobiles or handheld consoles perhaps.
I'll be in the minority in this thread to look forward positively to even more persuasive 3D gaming. No point dishing it before trying it. Granted it won't be a while before I can afford another projector, and I expect games in the next few years to be still quite experimental in terms of what they do with 3D.
Probably just a case of getting used to. I've known people who got motion sickness from playing various existing 3D games (Mario Kart, L4D, Dynasty Warrior). Those who persists eventually get used to it though.
I've been watching some footy in 3D and it's hardly any different to watching it normally apart from you wear a pair of glasses.

I thought most people pay "flash" web based games, rather than retail ones like ubisoft sells.
