I wish they didn't do it. DisplayPort is superior and needs to replace DVI. Besides, they have adapter dongles from DisplayPort to DVI anyway so why is this necessary?
Those adaptor dongles are incredibly expensive, I hear.
I found prices from £78 to £150 for what appeared to be the same item.
Display Port maybe superior, and I'm all for better tech, but the support equipment for Display Port is lagging way behind these AMD cards. It would have been better had they enabled all the attached ports for EyeInfinity allowing users to upgrade as and when they wanted to.
