I have only played 2 of the new maps, trailer park and fuel... i can say though that fuel is awesomely massive (for cod)... its a very big and very open map... a true sniper map aswell as some close encounter buildings.
trailer park isnt all that great, but i didnt get to roam around it fully as it was search and destroy...

I had no intention of buying MW2 in the first place. So you can probably guess what I think.

Re: Opinions - Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Package

Anyone got any opinions whether any of the new maps would be worth getting for a complete n00b - I'd really like to get into the online play more, but the previous attempts have been a bit pathetic, as in:

ooh, now to get me some XP ... bang!(dead)
... okay, where did that come from?! ... bang!(dead)
... think I'd better hide and get my bearings ... bang!(dead)
... where the heck is this 'player matching' they were boasting about ... bang!(dead)
... damn, this is the Halo3 beta all over again ... bang!(dead)
... (expletives deleted as Xbox gets switched off)

(Actually, last time out I did manage to last for about 2 minutes, but only by a combo of spineless camping and panicked running around [with a machine gun] ) Joking aside, the cost of these maps does seem a little steep to me - I'll probably save my pennies and put a down payment on Crackdown2 instead.

Bob (yes, you can laugh, I realise I'm pathetic)

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

As with the other DLC, I'll end up buying it when it comes to PC because I'm a mug

More that I hope Activision fall to pieces, die, and rot away.

Point is, it's a bit of a moot question. If you already own MW2 and play it regularly, then clearly you don't have any issues with Activision/IW/MW2, you'll already have bought the first map pack, and you'll be delighted with this one too. If you already own MW2, but don't play it, you won't be interested in this. And then there's the whole other bunch of people who hate the entire lot, and wouldn't download it if it was free.

Re: Opinions - Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Package

I'm too stingy with my MS points, I always tend to wait till something I'm after is on sale despite having around 8,000 points on my account.
I never really got one with MW2 MP, it just never did anything for me. However, if they were to release a map pack with added levels for Spec Ops then I'd probably be interested as it's the only reason I've bothered to keep the game.

Re: Opinions - Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Package

The match making wasn't as bad as I thought to be honest except for the player limits which is crap. Would probably buy on the PC if it was say £5 but no chance at £10. To be honest I always get the feeling that game developers are leaving things out on purpose to flog them back to us a couple months later. Always seems they manage to churn out DLC pretty quick when there is money to be made.
