I said the same thing to the missus. Why if you wanted one for HDTV duties would you not go with the acer? You'd have to be nuts to go with the apple.

I'm a massive fan of apple's stuff and I'm currently running a mac mini, but their pricing on this is flat out wrong.

Plus the education pricing for those of us who work in the sector, the discount helps reduce the price to a somewhat more palatable option

For that price you would at least want it to have an esata port and USB 3.
They could even have put an induction loop surface on the top to charge your
toothbrush.
