Sapphire Radeon HD 5670 ULTIMATE lays claim to that title.

Re: News - Sapphire launches world's fastest passively-cooled graphics card?
Yeah that appeals to me, my 4870 is loud even with the fan at 20%, drives are all SSD's so getting rif of smaller whiney fans gets my vote..
Will this out perform my 4870 tho is the question, bearing in mind its underclocked to 500/500 from the normal 780/1000...
Re: News - Sapphire launches world's fastest passively-cooled graphics card?
I wonder if they could have designed it with two heatsinks (either side of card) to avoid that big blob making the card overly tall. It restricts its fit in cases.
As to speed. I doubt it beats a 4870 - my 5750 scored around same as a 4850 in 3dMark so I'd reckon there is a substantial difference twixt 4870 and 5670

page doesnt seem to load??
edit: all fine now - weird
Re: News - Sapphire launches world's fastest passively-cooled graphics card?
A silent graphics card is actually quiet tempting since I'd be coming from an 8800GT (noisiest card in the world???)
Re: News - Sapphire launches world's fastest passively-cooled graphics card?
Interesting, but it's nothing that you can't do yourself, though maybe not with something that compact. Both of my HD5850 cards are passively cooled via Accelero S1 coolers with temps lower than what the stock fan coolers were yielding. Those Acceleros do take up a lot of space, tho! :D
Re: News - Sapphire launches world's fastest passively-cooled graphics card?
YES YES YES YES! AT LAST! A reasonable "mid-range performance" Radeon 5xxx that's passively cooled and with - hopefully - decent availability.
Question is, though, will it idle (watts and temp) much lower than my passive XFX 4650 Radeon, and have superior enough performance to justify (gulp) £100?!
Re: News - Sapphire launches world's fastest passively-cooled graphics card?
I've not checked benchmarks, but Powercolor have a passive 5750 and 5670. The 5750 faster than 5670?

Two problems: 1) the Powercolor card is insanely difficult to find, and the few places that list them have them for over £130, 2) it's Powercolor. I've never had one of their cards, and I've read horror stories about their quality control and support.
It's odd that Gigabyte made that passive 4850 and haven't since followed up with a similar 5750.

Care to post retailer names that stock the Powercolor 5750?
Novatech sold one as own brand card, but page is no longer available. And my search powers have proofed weak as not seen them anywhere else.
Re: News - Sapphire launches world's fastest passively-cooled graphics card?
Here's a few, supposedly, selling the SCS3 passive 5750.
Down to £113~ now, and still far too expensive for the performance this card offers.
Re: News - Sapphire launches world's fastest passively-cooled graphics card?
How do Sapphire lay claim to the title 'worlds fastest passively-cooled...' if powercolor have 5750 (albeit powercolor's one might be hard to find and/ or more expensive)...
Re: News - Sapphire launches world's fastest passively-cooled graphics card?
Anyone get one of these?
I'm still umming about it but would like someone with one to give a bit of feedback..
