I think spoon_ might have meant that the fault was just graphical - i.e. you got the same reception but the iphone displays less bars.
I read that as well, but have since read that people have been unable to make calls with the phone in the wrong position. The fact that after all these years of mobile phone use people still dont know how to hold them properly is beyond me.........
If it was me, I'd return it - there should be 600,000 pre order cancellations stating that they don't want the phone until they have fixed the issue. Alas, it is Apple and they wont be returned.
A little break in the Apple bubble is nice to see though.
Bring on winter!
Gloves and cold hands will make people regret buying touch screen products!
Will the phone be affected if it's placed in pockets, cases, etc?
You really can't buy this kind of brainless and blind loyality.
Also, Steve shows Medvedev how it's done:
.
one of them has php in his name... in 2010. Enough said.
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
ah yes, why have it resting in your hand when you can strech your hand and get cramp?
I especially enjoyed the kisses at the end of the email. Then I realised it was where he'd blotted out the names![]()
Security guy: I can't see anything. Is it a problem?
Steve Jobs: Non issue. Just avoid seeing in that way.
Distressed Sailor: My boat is flipping. Is it a problem?
Steve Jobs: Non issue. Just avoid sailing in that way.
another example how great marketing can make some people buy totally rubbish product.
i had a few mobile phones (different brands) in my life already (never an apple product) and haven't experienced such problem
shame on apple...
LOL WUT?
So it's a software issue? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/10490572.stm
So how does touching the case cause a software issue?
And what about the users who have done data tests to map the change...
If it is a software issue meaning it just shows the wrong value to the user, why does it affect the data rate...
**** right off Apple, pull your heads out of your arses and do a recall like any self respecting company should...
I actually heard it on the radio on the way home, saying that Apple were admitting that they had a problem with the signal.
To which i jokingly said, oh they'll just say it was a software problem and just do an update to stop it showing....
I didn't think they were that ****ing stupid...
