How is this a sensible business proposition for BT? I was wondering this earlier when it was announced on the News that they were planning on spending £30 million on advertising and selling Sky 1 & 2 at a loss. How are they affording to do this? Why don't they up their prices by £3/month so they can at least in theory make some money instead of losing more money the more customers they get?
BT Visions business model seems to be about providing a platform which encourages people to buy on demand stuff- films etc, almost trying to encourage tv impulse buying.
Personally I think they should just raise their sports package by a little to ensure they dont lose money on it.
I have sky and bt vision so might see if sky will price match on the sports- I'm sure they will do me a deal.
