How about 5 sort out their crappy transmissions first. Any sign of a bit of rain and their signal just drops like a brick even though i'm directly across the valley from Emley moor mast.

Would like to see more HD channels on freesat soon, would make upgrading from a dvb-s card to dvb-s2 worthwhile

Out of 5's control that one. Is this on digital or analogue? Nothing is going to be improved on analogue as that's being switched off (5 has always been on low power because of interference with other signals). If it's digital then the whole goup of channels that share with 5 will also be breaking up. This should improve with the switch over as all the MUX's will get an increase in power.

HD channels on Freesat still use DVB-S, it's only the Sky HD channels that use DVB-S2 in the UK.

Digital. Only happens with 5/fiver/five US unless they share with shopping channels and the like that I don't use.
