I can't believe the Facebook group has over 37,000 "likes", surely some of these people are just trolling? I sure hope so because the alternative is just too sad to thing about.

They are right to keep thr group there but what on earth are these people thinking?

Facebook are, in my view, quite right.

You have to comply with their rules, but providing you do that(and that obviously includes not breaking the law), your opinion should be yours to express.

The same is true here - providing you follow our rules, including posting with courtesy and not insulting other members, your views are yours to express.

37,000 weak minded sheep, that's all. As for those MPs, haven't they got enough to do without trying to score cheap political points?

37,000 chavs/criminals, they see Moat as some kind of anti-police hero and I think it taps into the "don't talk to the police, they're the enemy" mentality that seems to exist amongst some of the lower classes in our society. The whole thing's a tragedy. I feel some pity for Moat but not as much as I feel for his unarmed victims. How he can be a hero for some people really beggars belief.

Yes, Facebook are right to keep the page up but I don't for a minute understand the mentality of people who are calling him a legend.

It's a strange, sad world.

Maybe one day I'll do a study investigating the link between use of txt spk online and IQ.. that would probably say something about the founder of the group.

maybe they should arrest everyone in the group for intent to assault/murder a Police officer or intent to commit treason

It depends why people are being sympathetic or supportive towards him, as a human being.

Yes, he committed murder.

But, unlike people that murder for "fun", it seems more like he had a mental breakdown rather than being a cold calculating killer.

And I would agree, those "praising" his actions or seeing him as some sort of anti-hero are just misguided.

I think facebook are right and should not take the group down, many people are members of groups I don't like however they are entitled to their opinions so long as they don't affect the liberties of others. However for Moat I think the police were remarkability restrained, If it had happen in the states (don't forget he is a "cop killer") it would have been put the gun down... put the gun down... ok then BANG! Game over. I don't care what "mental" state he was in, he killed a man and tried to kill others I don't really think society is worse off for his loss, however might be for his actions.

Why? There are no obvious issues that might make the BNP support him, as far as I know. And they are nationalistic, not anti-Police.
