Great! So now I'm just waiting for a press conference about Apple selling all of their products at 50% off - they obviously don't need the money :-)

It is pretty amazing how good they have been performing. The most ironic thing is that Apple is really just a design company and they stuff up on a design and yet they are still doing well. That's pretty good. I guess it is only one design flaw vs the various other designs (e.g. mac mini etc).
Not really just a design house are they, they do produce a boat load of software too. OSX, iOS, their video and photo apps, etc.
They might not actually manufacture any hardware, just subbed out, but that's the case for a lot of "hardware" companies.
True, but that's because they are really a closed platform and so they have to make software for their hardware rather than the other way around...
They're also doing their own chips in the mobile devices now so, apart from a royalty to ARM they are probably dropping costs.
Check out Filemaker Go - it's not gonna do any harm to Apple mobile device sales at all
