So that's most bedroom users ruled out now then?
I really can't see Kinect being all that successful tbh, but good luck to them.

Rules out those of us who are in spare rooms where the consoles and pc's live.
The room the 360 and PC are in (PC on a Ikea Jerker Desk) and a spare bed are all crammed into a spare box room that measures 11ft by 7ft. Kinect ruled out instantly. Wasn't to fused on one anyway. I don't even think there is 6ft of space in the living room if I moved it.

Thank god I have enough space to use Kinect in my living room!
Now if someone can actually convince me it's worth spending £130+ to add a silly camera to my 360 just so that I can wave around like a lunatic, then I might just begin to consider buying one.

FAIL! How many folks have that kind of space, unless the XBox is located in a living room (and maybe not even then!). So presumably they're not going to sell any to the teenager-in-their-bedroom audience who would be impressed by this gadget - dumb, dumb, dumb, ..."You'll need any Xbox 360 console, a Kinect sensor, Kinect games and 6 feet between you and your television for play space
Anyone know if it works with smaller separation - in my case probably about 2-3 feet?
I hope so, but suspect not, since all the video/images that I've seen show it being used in something that looks like a dance studio.
Just have to wait and see I guess ...

I bet microsoft will come up with something daft to counter this:
Introducing: The Microsoft Mirrorâ„¢, with kinect support, it's no ordinary mirror, honest!
EDIT: joking aside, this idea came from when I worked at a small opticians, the testing rooms were very small, not long enough to fit a letter chart, so they would use a mirror to get the 6ft distance. (thats partly were the 6/6 vision in the uk comes from)
