It's an Athlon Neo. So it's gonna be a hot and power draining laptop unless they have improved on that.
the CPU's are 45nm now, so should be a lot better.

Seems a little expensive, and looks a bit budget / price orientated externally. (internally it looks ok, but not too keen on the "SIS Premium Sound" text).
Would be more inclined to look into these for a more fully featured laptop:
Vostro 1220 with a 12.1" screen (from £369 ex vat etc) DVD, core2duo etc
Latitude 13 with a 13.3" screen (from £369 ex)
Vostro V13 with 13.3" screen (from £399 ex)

Gotta agree there. Asus' 1201 machines are around the same price and the chassis is just so much nicer than Dell's low end stuff. If Dell had this £50 cheaper I'd be seriously tempted, but as it stands the 1201NL (or 1201PN if it's out in time) looks like it'll be my next thin & light.
