Sky's consumer survey must've asked one person and this person was actually Mr Potato head. I have never heard of anyone mistaking sky and skype... even my dad who speaks very little English knows that they're completely different. Still, their legal team needs a purpose for existence so obviously they need to work on a case no matter how imaginary it may be...

Sky - please stop wasting courts time on your stupid arguments.
I think Sky's product sounds far too similar to the big blue thing above our heads. However, it is QUITE CLEARLY NOT the big blue thing, therefore I shall sueing. So there.
Did Sky come out before Skynet of Terminator 1? Hmm... but yeh, as the atmosphere belongs to everyone, we can all sue Sky!
If Sky / BSkyB realy cared about protecting their name they would have gone after these guys ages ago...

... who I use now and again. The font they use for the representation of their names are very similar.
I suspect the main reason for doing this is because Sky will undoubtedly look at moving into the VoiP telephony market to go alongside their Broadband/phone/TV packages
