PowerColor has today announced a single-slot HD 5750 1GB for the HTPC crowd.
That's the widest "single slot" card I've ever seen

    Sorted

Hopeully we will continue to see a decent range of more powerful low profile cards. Having a low profile system myself I know how difficult it is to get a decent card. My ideal card would be dual dual slot and passive.

Re: News - PowerColor releases low-profile Radeon HD 5750 graphics card

See, I have an Antec mini-skeleton, and as much as I want a GPU in there, I'm worried that I'll blow past the limit of the built in 90W PSU/power-brick.

Also, the low-profile slot is only single-width, so I'd be confined to a 5450 or 5550 or something anyway.

At that point, I wonder if it's even worth it.

Re: News - PowerColor releases low-profile Radeon HD 5750 graphics card

Well I just have a cheap HD-4550 to tide me over for the mean time (considerable upgrade from my terrible Quadro NVS card). Hopefully when I need more power for GPU acceleration, which will depend on me getting Adobe CS4/5 probably, there will be something that fits my needs and my case

Well done Powercolor... great move and nice design.

Would have preferred exhausting warm air but this looks good for the first out the door of these things
