Simply too expensive. You can get other premium makes for alot less money and supply just a good quality power, if not better. :surprised:
As someone who's pretty much tested every psu going, the is no better make than Enermax I.M.O and it really is a case of you get what you pay for.
One of the few firms who build from the ground up rather than rebadge some OEM. Now they've sorted out the noise levels personally I wouldn't use anything else.
I agree with the above. I use nothing other than Enermax psu's.
Agree, they are fantastic. But they're often unaffordable.
Personally, i think their lower models are quite fairly priced, but the higher end ones are too over priced when compared to their relative competition.
The problem with the lower models is that, given past experience, they were pretty average. Solid enough, but they pulled the trick of the QTecs and other budget PSU brands by over-quoting the power they could pull, leading to fairly average specs dropping power to hard drives and the likes.
I'm fairly sure they've moved away from that since (indeed their top PSUs seem to be on a resurgence and appear to fall in right behind Seasonic again) but given the past it's hard to recommend the lower PSUs based on how strong their top ones are, as they have sod all in common.
personalyl id go with corsair, but each to their own.
