I have to admit I am in the mood for these top down heat sinks now. Otherwise you still have to provide additional cooling to the chip set. Top down heat sinks help cool the whole motherboard, inc memory.
full list of compatible sockets is LGA 775/1156/1366 and AMD 754/939/940/AM2/AM2+/AM3
