It looks pretty stock, but that doesn't mean they haven't tweaked it underneath. May have a more efficient fan or something, or different cooler design perhaps?

i've heard nothing but greatness about the 460's OC'ing abilities, tempted to replace my cards with one as a single card solution........

Looks bone-stock to me. Even the fan blades are in the same position (see them crossing the heatpipe).

I think they applied that special sticker because it has advanced thermal and soundproofing abilities, so the card will be a lot quieter and cooler... :)

well i think most expect a 3rd party cooler on somethin like this and youll certainly be paying a high premium, just look at the model its surpassing which is like 215 quid!. these are hand picked so maybe are the more power efficient and so less heat?. id rather buy a stock gtx or get the palit sonic.edition as its close in clock speeds and is about 40quid less!

I don't know, aside from watercooling, there just isn't that much of a market for 3rd party VGA coolers. Since the product cycle of a VGA is so short, it's almost certain you won't be able to use it for your next VGA.

I think it really depends on the model. I've got the AC accelero TT which I've used with my 4850, and I would be able to use it on the whole 58xx series and on a number of nvidia cards too. it was 25 pounds, so the price isn't bad either.
with the 4850 I've gained -20C under load, so it will easily handle my next card (5830) without any noticeable noise.
