I was about to post in the other thread, this morning why doesn't someone just produce a 900MHz one.
I don't even want to imagine the amount of heat that dumps into the case.
This is getting up to the AMD sort of frequency levels.. 1000MHz anyone? :D

You could say that some of the o/c'd HD 4890s clocked at 1000MHz were just tweaked 750MHz 4870s, but thats a bit of a stretch. Otherwise a 1GHz 4890 is only 17% over stock (850MHz). And that's the biggest factory o/c I can think of.
My GTX 260 will go from 576 up too around 700MHz.Quote:

I can only get my GTX275 (One of the later, and more refined, models of the last gen) to 728MHz core, from a stock clock of 633MHz. That's only a 15.1% increase, and that's with a custom fan profile too, ramping up the fan to 70% under load.
