Seriously, I'm so out of the loop it's not funny.
I'm still on an 8800gt.
If my 8800gt is, say, a Mazda 3 TS2, what's one of these things?
Any idea on a release date? (As in, next week or 3 weeks away?)
Ermm...I'm gonna take a stab and say it's about the same as a 8800GTX? But not in direct terms obviously, and is probably slightly better.
A 4870 was about on par with a full-fat 8800GTX, the 5770 is a bit faster than that so judging by this the 450 should be slightly faster than a full-fat 8800GTX.
I'd have to disagree there. 4870 was significantly faster than even an 8800 Ultra. As a rough guide, I always go by the Toms Hardware hierarchy charts:

Indeed, the GTS250 trades blows with the 4850.
Coolios, that's a nice table. It was on par at time of release anyway :juggle: And that's made me even more convinced that I'm not gonna replace my 4850 for a while :woowoo:
Yeah, 8800GTX only has 128 shaders @ ~ 1350MHz. This thing has 192 shaders at over 1550MHz, which should put it somewhere close to the 192 shader GTX260, I guess? A little slower perhaps... until the overclocked versions come out ;) But on that basis it should definitely give the 5770 a good run for its money, which has to be good news for consumers, really...
Oh, and...
The 185bhp 2.2l diesel sport? I don't know much about cars, but that sounds about right to me - it's basically the same class of card but with a bigger engine and all the extras :D
