£623? Way too much money for a tablet. People are moaning at iPad and its cheapest model at £429.

Also running plain Windows without any modification is gonna provide horrible user experience (read: touch screen experience)

i thought the slate was meant to be released at the ~£300 mark? Am i wrong or has HP totally missed the mark with this device.... it has to be cheaper than the ipad, the ipad has limitation that this wont but it still needs to be cheaper as not many people will realize this.

its designed for business use not home, hence enterprise tablet. its not taking on the ipad, its a follow up to their earlier windows tablets.
