I agree with the EOL on the 768mb version but also that the price drop on some of the 5830 to 120ish. At that price imo the 5830 was the best value card. Now its back in the hands of the 460.

If AMD have any sense they will stick to the same power budgets, one of the major selling points for mid range cards is that you can stick them in virtually any PC with a mid range PSU.
March of technology and all, can't grumble too much about price drops, I bought my 460 for £150 (chosen over a 5770, stretching my budget), I'm happy with the performance, I can play Empire:TW at max detail 1920x1080... which makes me happy.
Though the price drops have just made SLI more tempting/accessable.
