I predict that within months Intel will announce a new Atom derivative with a juiced up graphics component.
I also doubt AMD's TDPs reflect equal battery usage to Atom, it's all about the idle power and Atom is very good there. Judging by Hexus earlier Lenovo laptop comparison Intel chips drain the battery more slowly even when TDP is similar.
Intel already released their new atom last december and it's only about half as fast as Bocat. Sure they can announce a new one, but it will still be at least 18 months before it'll be released.
As for the battery life in the laptop comparison, the AMD cpu had a 25w TDP compared to the i5's 35w. However the AMD system also had an 18w northbridge that the intel system didn't have so the overall system TDP reflected the very small extra battery life in favour of the intel system.
