Seems like pretty obvious advice to me - although I've got to wonder why anyone would see fit to post this kind of info in public places. Haven't these folks heard of cyberstalking?Confused.com has recommended its customers avoid posting their home address or phone number on social networking sites
I think I'm okay, because I don't use Facebook (can't see the point) and I'm careful what info I put in the forums I use.
I would have thought it's probably a good idea not to post your town location either - I'm guessing a crim could backcheck through the telephone directory and get your address from that. Of course, if you're name is Jones and you live in Wales, or you're called Smith then it might be a bit more difficult because of the number of folks with the same name.
