Lack of blockbuster games is not the reason the gaming industry has slumped. Its prices and also how over complicated games are getting for consoles.
Alot of people dont have £40-£50 to spend on computer games any more. Also the games have got a little too complicated now.
I am 31, have played games most of life. Never been a console owner till we got an xbox 360 for the kids and the best game on there is some colour marble game that came free. Love need for speed 2 underground, brought a newer incarnation of the series and its just too complicated - its not fun.
In an attempt to make games better and bigger, they are loosing their fun instant play appeal. I do though love Lego games like Starwars and Indiana Jones. But I have never finished them though.
Bring out £10-£20 games which are just simple fun fun fun games and see what happens.
Well if the PC market is anything to go by, they did exactly that and people keep saying PC gaming is dead :pQuote:
