Yawn.... Very bored with all these service/product annocments from MS. Apart from Windows, Office, Xbox and a few specialist products has anything MS produced been a big success recently?

Depends on what you class as specialist products. Server software and operating systems such as 2008 r2 still seem to be doing quite well.

While i was across the pond that actually got quite a lot of attention in Ford ad's - much to my surprise.

Considering Windows, Office and XBox are their main products, those being a success is kinda major on its own. That aside, the Zune system is brilliant. Been using it over a year now thanks to an imported Zune HD and frankly I can't see why A) It's taken this long to release over here and B) why it's not been a monumental smash hit. The device is amazing, the software is amazing, and the service is amazing. It deserves better than to be beaten by the iTouch >.>

Given the build 'quality' of a lot of cars over there in the generic American car market, the ICE from MS has apparently been quite the selling point :)
