    Great, I was hoping that this MIGHT have been around the £499 mark at least.

    But no, it certainly is not.

    HP's recent 24" ZR24W was good but plagued with calibration and dead pixel issues. I'm happy to pay a little more, but the Lacie is priced in the region of monitors with 2560x1600 panels! And this is a far more desirable feature.

    Yeah, the pricing is pretty bonkers. You could get the Dell WFP3008 30" monitor for that, which has all of those features and is obviously a lot larger.

    It seems too expensive, even though it's a niche product. If you absolutely have to have perfection (and this product does actually offer it...) then there may be people willing to 'invest'.

    Eizo used to (prob' still do) charge a large sum for their monitors, so it's not like it hasn't been done before.

    (FWIW, I'd unreservedly go for a 30", with that amount of money to spend.)
