As long as you can still self host using the wordpress application I dont mind. Live Writer is still the nicest offline blogging tool I've found.

Huge impact on bloggers is coming, Wordpress gains 30 million users almost instantly?!?!?!
Will be good to see if they can maintain the service with an almost doubling of users overnight...well in a short while!
