I've been using it for the first time this weekend to watch the Ryder Cup and I've been quite impressed with it.

Less impressed with my new SkyHD box which doesn't seem to want to record anything for me!

Re: News - Sky playing catch-up in VoD race

I agree that skyplayer is the worst, it frequently crashes or won't let you login. If a video stops working then you have to watch all the ads again which is a complete pain. The software leaves programmes running that aren't viewable except from task manager and is pointless really as all it allows you to do is download the programmes. The live tv function refuses to work saying I need a subscription option that it lists I actually I have on my subscription page and finally you only get a small amount of time to watch shows that are part of a series then they're immediately put up for rental with no season pass option that I can see.

I like the way 4od and demand five are on youtube too, handy if the main sites are down for maintenance. Not sure why bbc iplayer scores so highly and itv really has very few shows I want to watch but they seem to milk ads the most.
