What would you ask them?
The Epox 8RDA+ was at one time the 'de facto' enthusiast overclocker bord, now usurped by DFI & the NF7-S. Do they interested in winning back the overclocker community with something equally tasty.
And, why did nearly every 8RGA+ board my company purchase die after approx 18 months?
The 8RDA+ lives on now in it's revision 2.x state, along with the re-designed 8RDA3+ rev 3.x boards with innovative dual buck phase PWM for excellent FSB overclocking ability (read 245+ no problem at all).
Those boards from the competition (note that they are also tier 2 suppliers) that are mentioned are certainly very formidable products, but in keeping with EPoX tradition, expect something new & special this summer when the 8RDAPro series of boards is released based upon the MCP RAID series of southbridge interconnect
There will be :
8RDA+ Pro
8RDA3+ Pro
8RDA6+ Pro
8RDA3I Pro
As a mere start, bringing more overclocking functionality and feature set and accessories at a very reasonable outlay - and of course a very high quality, stable and well researched PCB as ever unlike perhaps certain other tier 1 and 2 manufacturers.
In respect of the 8RGA+ - I cannot say that we have seen any particularly high failure rate with this product, I'm very sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience it seems.
Thanks for that. I have to say I use an 8RDA+ Rev2.2 myself, having tried an NF7-S after the zif socket broke on the 8RDA+ Rev1.1.
Also, do Epox do a Socket 940 board for my FX53? I see there are Socket 754 boards. Is this because the S940 format is seen as a transient thing?
EPoX doesn't do a socket 940 mainboard however we are due to release shortly Socket 939 NF3 Ultra mainboard in the shape of the EP-9NDA+ which is the socket 939 version of the EP-8KDA3+ - I'm building around one at the moment for a watercooled rig for E-Festival
will it provide vmem at least 3,2v and vcore at least 2.0v?Quote:

these features are vital, if epox claims itself as a top-notch overclockers mobo manufacturer.
Buuha - can you confirm you work for OCZ? (It is *not* an issue, infact a good thing :))
Would EPoX bring out an overclockers focused board with higher VDIMM and VCore for the S754 platform using the NF3 250 or K8T800 chipsets?
Also do they have any plans to release an X800 series card?
And what does "Those boards from the competition (note that they are also tier 2 suppliers)" mean :p
